ART TELLS OUR STORY.
Many of us have seen the movie WALL-E. Not everyone has paid close attention to the end credits! These credits begin telling the end of WALL-E's story with the first example of art that we have, cave paintings. The story moves forward by showing various art movements and styles found in art history.
"Unlike our credits in the past, the main goal of the credits was to finish the story. To communicate that the humans were going to be okay. They would survive. It became a balancing act of telling the survival story, using art history to do it and to make sure things weren’t too distracting from the names themselves." -Jim Capobianco, Director of the End Credits
